The Warded AtlasTerms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Brayden (“we”, “us”), who makes the Warded Atlas. By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
The app
The Warded Atlas helps you organise tabletop roleplaying campaigns: worlds, maps, notes, sessions and sharing with your players. It is currently free. If we ever add paid features, we’ll tell you first and you won’t be charged without agreeing.
Your account
You need an account only for cloud sync and sharing. Keep your sign-in details safe, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You must be at least 13 to make an account, and old enough under your local laws to agree to these terms.
Your content
What you create is yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it, sync it and show it to the people you choose to share it with. You are responsible for what you upload and share, and for having the right to use it (for example, maps or art made by someone else).
Recordings and other people’s information
If you record a session, you must tell everyone taking part and get their agreement first. Recording a private conversation without consent is an offence in several Australian states and in many other places. You are responsible for any recordings you make, and for any information about real people you put in your worlds.
Fair use
Please don’t use the Warded Atlas to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including copyright;
- harass, threaten or share private information about other people;
- upload malware, or try to break into accounts, worlds or our systems;
- overload the service or use it to store files unrelated to your games.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Players and sharing
Game masters decide what players see. Share links and invites work for anyone who has them, so only send them to people you trust, and turn them off when you’re done.
Third-party services
Some optional features connect to other services using your own accounts or keys, such as Google or Facebook sign-in, AssemblyAI transcription, Anthropic’s Claude for recaps, and Syrinscape. Their own terms apply to that use, and any charges from them are between you and them.
Availability and backups
We work to keep the app running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error free. Your worlds are stored on your device first, and you can export a backup at any time. Please do, regularly. We may change or stop features, and if we ever shut down the cloud service we’ll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
Liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (currently nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded.
Ending things
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above, and for big changes we’ll let account holders know. Continuing to use the app means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia.
